Ratz

  • I wrote a Twine story centered around three young boys who have heard rumors about a mysterious man that lives in the woods behind their Massachusetts summer camp.

    • Authored Twine game based on a legendary story told at Camp Bauercrest, which I attended for 11 summers as a camper and staff

Design Choices

  • Relative to other text-based-games, I intended Ratz to be more linear and lean more towards the interactive story format versus a complex game of variables and branches

  • Depending on the options chosen, players will get a slightly altered version of the story just as if it were told to them by different counselors who each have their own renditions

It takes about 10 minutes to complete, so to get a small glimpse into the culture and life-changing experiences I’ve had at Camp Bauercrest, this short story is a good place to start.
